Bangladesh's team for the T20 World Cup will be led by Shanto.  Najmul Hassain Shanto is ready to guide his squad in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 after being named captain of Bangladesh in all formats earlier this year. Following a convincing 4-1 victory over Zimbabwe in the recently concluded T20I home series, Bangladesh revealed their 15-man roster for the major event that takes place next month. Veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who hasn't played T20I cricket in almost a year, is also included in the team.  Shakib made an impression by taking four wickets in the fourth match of Bangladesh's final two Twenty20 Internationals against Zimbabwe, earning a spot in the team. The 15-player Bangladeshi squad for the T20 World Cup did not include any significant surprises; youthful, fast Tanzim Hasan Sakib was selected after making two outings against Zimbabwe.  Left-arm quick Shoriful Islam was also picked by the selectors, despite the 22-year-old being rested fo...

Image
At a point in southern Israel on Monday, Israeli army battle tanks moved close to the Gaza Strip border, in the midst of the ongoing confrontation between Israel and the Hamas movement in Palestinian territory. On Monday, Israel engaged Hamas in combat in Gaza, including the heavily populated southern city of Rafah, in defiance of US warnings against a full-scale invasion and the possibility of "anarchy" following the war throughout the Palestinian enclave. After more than seven months of fighting since Hamas's October 7 invasion, Israel had a solemn Memorial Day, which is followed by Independence Day on Monday night. Clashes broke out in both northern and central Gaza at this time. Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared, "Our war of independence is not over yet," as the country observed a moment of sadness. We still have a strong desire to prevail in this battle. Gold Price Forecast – Gold Continues to Look Bullish

Image
Gold markets continue to look bullish, despite the fact that we have been hesitating a bit over the last week or so. Gold Markets Technical Analysis The  gold  market has shown itself to be somewhat noisy during the Thursday session, but we have seen a little bit of a boost higher as the jobs report in the United States came out a little worse than anticipated. That being said, this is a market bullish anyways due to the fact that we have been in such a huge uptrend. All things being equal, this is a market that I look at through the prism of buying the dip. The market is more likely than not going to continue to see upward momentum and eventually a move to the recent highs at $2,400. Whether or not we can break above there remains to be seen, but it would not surprise me at all due to the fact that there are a whole plethora of reasons why we could go higher. The first thing of course, would be that central banks are more likely than not to cut interest rates going forward. B...

Despite the fear of US armaments, Netanyahu promises to crush Hamas in Rafah in the Gaza War.

Image
Netanyahu refused to back down in the face of US threats to halt weaponry.  Following the US's warning that weaponry shipments could be halted if Benjamin Netanyahu orders a full-scale assault of Rafah in Gaza, Netanyahu has declared that Israel can "stand alone".  Numerous individuals have already left the southern city following the start of what the Israeli military described as a "limited" operation on Monday. US President Joe Biden has stated that the operation would breach a "red line" and has so issued repeated warnings against it. But Mr Netanyahu dismissed the US warning, saying Israel would fight on. "If we need to ... we will stand alone. I have said that if necessary we will fight with our fingernails," the prime minister said. Mr Netanyahu also invoked the war of 1948 - where the newly formed State of Israel was attacked by a coalition of Arab states - to dismiss the US warnings. "In the War of Independence 76 years ago, w...

Ukraine says it repelled Russian bid to cross border

Image
Three children were hurt in a separate attack  on the regional capital Kharkiv Ukraine says it has repelled a Russian armoured attack in the north-eastern Kharkiv region, after Moscow's forces launched an incursion across the border and sought to break through defensive lines. Kharkiv regional head Oleh Syniehubov said Russian reconnaissance groups had tried to penetrate the border, adding that "not a single metre has been lost". "Russia has launched a new wave of counteroffensive operations in the Kharkiv sector," said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Ukrainian commanders have been expecting a summer offensive for some time, possibly even a bid to capture the regional capital Kharkiv. But officials are adamant Russia does not have the resources to do so. Russia had the capability to aggravate the situation in border areas but not the ability to capture Ukraine's second city, said the head of Ukraine's centre for countering disinformation, Andri...
