The price of gold has increased by Tk 1,832 per bar as of today, May 11, according to the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS).

The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) today (May 11) increased the price of gold by Tk 1,832 per bar in a span of four days, following which prices in the local bullion market rose.
According to a Bajus statement, the price of 22 carat gold will now be Rs 1,17,282 per bhari (11.664 grams).
Apart from this, the price of 21 carat gold has been fixed at Tk 1,11,951 per load and the price of 18 carat gold has been fixed at Tk 95,960. Apart from this, the cost of gold per load will be 79,339 taka in the traditional method.
The new rates will be effective from today (Sunday).
The apex body of gold traders raised gold prices for the fourth time so far in May .
